Two of our recent jobs took us to Thurso in the Highlands of Scotland and down to Margate in Kent on the same day.

Our driver Nathan was in Thurso collecting a specialist empty “Saftainer,” a 20ft high payload capacity ISO container for the transport of bulk quantities of radioactive materials.

He drove up in No 6, one of our artic lorries, using our Megalift which is able to load and unload an ISO container in a matter of minutes. It has a 33 tonne lifting capacity, catering for a maximum 24 tonnes ISO plus contents due to Gross Vehicle Weight restrictions. Once collected from Thurso, onward delivery of the ISO container was to Gloucestershire on behalf of our customer Croft Associates.

And during this time Davvyd was down in Kent in our No 22, completing deliveries and the collection of waste materials on behalf of BIFFA.

With a distance of 735 miles and a 13 hour drive between both jobs we really were at the top and bottom of the UK in one day!
