- Site Surveys
Our site surveys help us to plan and prepare in advance of any job with more complex needs. Arrangements can be made with customers to visit a delivery/collection location to assess requirements in relation to the site, the manpower and the vehicles and equipment needed to complete the job safely.
Our site surveys include:
- Members of the team visiting the site
- A full assessment of the consignment location, including routes to and from the vehicle
- Photos and measurements taken
- Risks assessed and plans made
- A full assessment and survey report
- Communication of findings
- Quotations given as part of the work
Helpful customer information prior to a site survey includes:
- Photos of the route from our parked vehicle to the consignment location (and vice versa)
- Dimensions and weights of the products to be moved
- Any restrictions or access requirements of the route (eg. steps, stairs and any 90/180º turns, width of stairway including handrails, landing sizes and low doors)
- Any parking restrictions for the site
More specific site information helps to ensure our survey report is as fully comprehensive as possible and limits the chance of unforeseen circumstances on the day that can lead to job cancellation (or other costs/equipment required).
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Here are a few of the typical questions we get about this service. If you don’t see your question here you can ask us directly or try our full FAQ page.
We have a varied range of equipment that can be utilised for the many complexities and difficulties a job might "throw" our way. These include, but are not limited to; powered stair-climbers, a Stair Robot (1000kg payload), A-Frames, beams, lifting chains and forklift trucks.
Our site surveys are arranged to suit you and can take up to a day depending on travel time to the site location and the time it takes to review each aspect of the job. The actual survey itself usually takes an hour.
There is no requirement for customers to be on site but it can be beneficial, if a more in-depth account of the equipment is needed, especially if the equipment is more delicate and requires removal of any parts.
Once a survey is completed, a report and quotation can be provided by the following working day.
Additional complexities that require consideration of further site or customer information may extend this time slightly.
