We recently said farewell to our old forklift truck that had been serving us well for nearly 20 years, since 2006.

We were not left bereft for long, when our old forklift left for possible scrap another arrived as a replacement.

Working with Trucks Direct Ltd based in West Bromwich, we ordered our first electric forklift vehicle which was put to work almost straight away.

We are really pleased with how it’s been operating so far and the benefits of having an electric vehicle are many. It is quieter and cleaner and although smaller than our previous forklift it is able to lift the same weight of 4 tonnes.

It also has a lower mast and is able to fit under both mezzanine floors in our warehouses.

Although it is second hand itself it was in remarkable condition and had less than 1800 service hours recorded.

Our warehouse manager Simon is enjoying the ease of use as well as the reduction of noise!
